What did everyone think of the final episode of series 4 doctor who.?
I thought it was fab. The only problem was, i kept crying - when the doctor had to say goodbye to Sarah -Jane, Captain Jack, and Mickey, i cryed. When Rose ended up not being with the doctor she truly loved, i cryed. i most deninetly cryed when Donna had her memory wiped and was not able to ever know about all the wonderful things that she did with the doctor because she would die. I cryed when the doctor was left all on his own at the end, i even cryed when i watched doctor who confidential and Catherine Tate filmed her last scene. It's official - i'm an emotional wreck!!
Okay, I'm going to cut and paste from another answer where I've already typed my comments.
We did not see Caan or Davros die, so one or both can come back later.
I'm not certain how I felt about Rose's ending. Although, once Steven Moffatt recasts the role of the Doctor, he can always bring Rose and her Doctor back for a visit. (I don't think he would do that, but considering this is Doctor Who, nothing should be unexpected.)
I *LOVED* that the Doctor and Rose looked at Gwen Cooper and recognized her. I knew, every time Russell insisted that "there is no connection between Gwen and Gwyneth" that there WOULD be a connection one day. Only I really thought it would be Steven Moffatt who explored that.
I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see Pete or his and Jackie's son.
And here's what I think about Donna: We haven't seen the last of Donna!
Remember in "Forests of the Dead" when all the people were recalled from the computer's core? Lee MacEvoy was there - Donna's husband in her alternate life inside CAL. And remember how they just missed each other because he couldn't get her name out?
Donna and Lee will be back and I predict we are going to see their wedding. The Doctor has to go back to check on Donna periodically, you now. And I firmly believe that Wilf deserves a nice long trip in the Tardis. So "John Smith" will pop in and out of the Noble house. Donna and Lee's story may be an episode or two, or it may just be a side story inside a bigger story. But we're going to see it. And that will be Donna's happy ending.
