Set Pin

How do I set a pin code for an LG Neon?

I want to set a pin code so after... lets say 15 seconds, it does a pin code request. Is there anyway to do that?

I know that you can 'lock' it, but that really doesn't do anything other then say 'locked' if you hit any button it unlocks....

Activate/Deactivate Phone Lock

1. From the standby screen, press Menu.

2. Scroll to and select Settings.

3. Scroll to and select Phone Settings.

4. Scroll to and select Security.

5. Scroll to and select Phone Lock.

6. Scroll to and select the desired option.

* Off
* When Power On
* When SIM Changed
* Immediately

7. Enter the device's current security code, then press OK.
NOTE: The default security code is 0000.

Unlock the Device

1. Press Unlock.

2. Enter the device's current security code, then press OK.
NOTE: The default security code is 0000.

OR:

Activate/Deactivate SIM Lock

1. From the standby screen, press Menu.

2. Scroll to and select Settings.

3. Scroll to and select Phone Settings.

4. Scroll to and select Security.

5. Scroll to and select PIN Code Request,

6. Select On or Off.
NOTE: When this setting is active, the device will ask for the PIN Code when the phone is powered on

7. Enter the current PIN Code, then press OK.
NOTE: The default PIN is 1111.

Note:
IMPORTANT: If the incorrect SIM lock code (PIN) is entered more than 3 times the phone will display "ENTER PUK". If this message is displayed, contact Customer Care.

* AT&T cannot provide active passwords.
* The device's security code and the SIM lock code (PIN) are not the same. The security code is resident to the device and does not affect the SIM card.
* For further assistance, please contact the manufacturer.

And if you want to change the PIN code from the default of 1111:

Change the PIN Code
Prerequisite: Activate SIM Lock

1. From the standby screen, press Menu.

2. Scroll to and select Settings.

3. Scroll to and select Phone.

4. Scroll to and select Security.

5. Scroll to and select Change Codes.

6. Scroll to and select PIN1.

7. Enter the current PIN Code, then press OK.
NOTE: The default PIN is 1111.

8. Enter the desired PIN Code (4 to 8 digits), then press OK.

9. Re-enter the new PIN Code, then press OK.
