Do you tip at a WDW resort hotel to the housekeeping staff and if so how much?
We will be making our 1st trip to Walt Disney World next month. We have never gone on a big vacation like this and haven't stayed in a nice hotel for more the a day. We will be in one of their moderate resorts for 6 days. I don't know how much to tip the housekeeping staff daily or even if you should tip them. Hubby says with the cost of the room we shouldn't have to tip but I don't wanna be a jerk and not tip if your supposed to. Could someone please fill me in. BTW the room costs about $200 per night.
Please fix envelopes before you go with "mousekeeping" on them and
if you have good service tip daily as the person may be different each day. $2.00 per day should suffice and for the porter who carries your luggage the guidelines are nomally $1 per bag. If you are using the magic express on arrival you probably won't see the baggage person coming but going to check out you may. If I have bad service I'm a scrooge. Mousekeepers don't make the big dollars so I don't mind if they are working hard and leave my extra towels etc. We stayed at CBR last year and are booked for this year and had good service. We've also stayed at AKL and it was better but it should be for the $. I like moderates. Clean and nice grounds.
